Amie Jones

I am excited to be joining the team at Totnes St Johns this year. After spending many years in education, as an Early Years Educator, HLTA and now a teacher, I am happy to finally have a class of my own. I am passionate about developing oracy for pupils and I believe it is an important building block for confident writers and thinkers.

I hope to encourage discussion and debate in the classroom wherever possible. I feel very lucky to be a part of Totnes St Johns. The school has a special atmosphere where everyone is cared for and children are put first, always. I hope that I can do my part in this to nurture and encourage our children to become successful learners and caring citizens.

In my spare time, I like to go camping around the South West with my husband and 4 year old son. We also love to toast marshmallows along the shore of the river Dart.
